About the Foundation
The Dorcas Scholars Fund was created to honour Dorcas Igbokwe, a woman whose life reflected love, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping others.
We continue her legacy by giving young Africans the skills, support, and confidence they need to build sustainable income and take care of their basic needs.
Why We Exist
Too many African youth have the talent, ambition, and passion to succeed — but lack access to learning opportunities because of financial constraints.
Dorcas Scholars Fund exists to change that.
We believe that education and skills are powerful tools for breaking cycles of poverty. By investing in learning, we empower young people not just to gain knowledge, but to build livelihoods, support themselves, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Our work is rooted in the belief that when youth are given the right opportunities, they don’t just survive — they thrive.
